Hi, I'm Chris Cooke. My family (my wife Karen and 3 children) and I moved (in August 2015) from 2 years in Abu Dhabi to the glittering city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.  It's amazing what can be made out in the desert.  

 

Both Karen and I teach at an international IB Continuum school in Dubai. She teaches KG 1 and I work in the secondary school. We married a year after we qualified as teachers and have now both taught for over 25 years. We are originally from South Africa but this is now our fourth international school. In addition to the two years in Abu Dhabi, we spent 9 wonderful years at a school located in the foothills of the Indian Hymalayas. After India we spent a year back in South Africa and then, two years in the bustling industrial city of Wuxi in China's Jiangsu province, about 220kms west of Shanghai. (See my Resume for more details)

 

I am trained as an English teacher and school administator and, am at present the MYP coordinator at our school. I also teach a few English classes which I find a wonderful way to keep in the classroom and engage in my passion - English Literature. I have also spent several years in School Administration.
